Dancescene provides tuition in classical ballet, jazz, funk, hip-hop and drama to children aged three to sixteen years. Adult Ballet classes also available.

Term fees vary according to the type of class undertaken and are calculated on the basis of the state primary school term or pro-rata when your child starts with Dancescene.

Term One starts Monday 4th February 2008 and concludes Saturday 12th April 2008
Term Two starts Monday 28th April 2008 and concludes Saturday 5th July 2008
Term Three starts Monday 21st July 2008 and concludes Saturday 27th September 2008
Term Four starts Monday 13th October 2008 and concludes Saturday 20th December 2008

Lisa Purchas is the principal and founder of 'Dancescene' (2002). Her professional background includes training to advanced levels in classical ballet (RAD) and National Character Dancing (ISTD) and being awarded for outstanding achievement in contemporary dance (Ray Gibbons Cup, Easter Competition 1984 New Zealand). Lisa has previously taught children in New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia and currently teaches at her studios in Claremont, Nedlands and Dalkeith. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations and Asian Studies (USQ. 2000) and a Masters of International Business (Curtin.2005).


Lisa is also the executive director of Andweina & Lucy Productions, an enterprise specialising in the production of children's books pertinent to the inspired world of dance.
