Andweina & Lucy are sisters and they love to dance. At any opportunity they happily break into series of little steps and turns to finish with a spectacular leap or dramatic pose. Andweina & Lucy Love to Dance is a colourfully illustrated children's story about the fun these two little girls have in being part of a beautiful ballet performed to the Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's Nutcrackers Suite

Lisa Purchas, executive director of Andweina & Lucy Productions and author of the books from the Celebration of Life series, has trained in classical ballet to an advanced level and has taught young children in New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia. Her 'Dancescene' schools in Perth provide tuition in classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance to children aged from three to thirteen years. Lisa's teaching philosophy is to nurture the joy of dance in children and this is evident in the creativity of both her dance classes and her books.
Prue Van Wyck is the illustrator of Andweina & Lucy Love to Dance. Prue's creative energy and positive vitality for life is evident in her gloriously vibrant illustrative style. Prue feels a special affinity with the artistic aspects of the book as she has been personally inspired by her own young daughter's interest in dance. Through her highly colourful artistic expression, Prue has captured the dynamic energy of Andweina & Lucy as they pirouette, gallop and waltz their way through the story.
